I'm afraid I'm not 100% certain of the quanity and disc distribution of the extras. It appears it may drop a few from the 2-DVD equivalent. I plan to pick this up soon and will report back!

Suggested footnote for both comparisons:
The longer original Italian cut is missing on actual film and only survives in an SD transfer. HD versions consist of the shorter International cut, interpolated with missing SD footage.

How does the Italian version look? Eureka cancelled the blu because of the unsuitable master. The Italian version on the Kino is in SD from the same master as the Eureka dvd

It's from the same master as the Kino, just very slightly darker (http://retro-hd.com/tests/blu-ray/2632- ... -face.html). I've edited my post to make clear that both Italian versions on BD include SD footage.

The German Explosive BD is the best option overall. Let's hope someone eventually finds a good quality print of the missing Italian cut.

Thanks. It’s a great film but the great-looking International version is missing character development and the sd director’s cut is unwatchable on the kino for me. Maybe I’ll check out the German if a standard edition comes out

Don't hold your breath, Eric: Explosive haven't sold all their 1,000 BD copies after nearly three years, so I wouldn't expect a reissue anytime soon.

Some minor points:
The "r" is missing from the end of Ulrich P. Bruckner's name on the Koch DVD.
No mention of the Explosive DVD's slipcase.
Could you add the Movie-Censorship report to both listings?
