OVERALL: Draw
The 88 Films release has two cuts of the film and exclusive new extras while Germany and Eureka (which also has both cuts) have a few exclusive extras of their own.
Do note that the export version on the Eureka and Splendid editions is an upscale from an SD digital master while 88 Films' master is from 4K.
88 Films also restores the original Cantonese mono mix while others inadvertently used the Cantonese mono mix for the Japanese theatrical release which featured some differences in dialogue and music cues.
The "remixed" options on the 88 Films release combine mono dialogue and effects with stereo recordings of the score. It is still in mono but the mixes are cleaner-sounding than the optical track-sourced versions. -
