Snapshot (1979) Blu-ray UPDATED

Snapshot (1979) Blu-ray

https://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/ ... ?fid=43357

Blu-ray ALL America - Powerhouse Films [2024 Release]
Blu-ray ALL United Kingdom - Powerhouse Films [2024 Release]

Play All runtime missing for:

Trailers and TV Spots (Play All -

Also, I suspect:

Australian version = director's cut version
U.S. version = theatrical version

Can anyone confirm this? If so, perhaps the page should be updated to make it consistent.

Unless Indicator have some info, I’m not sure why it is labeled as the director’s cut. The theatrical and home video were the shorter version and the longer cut popped up as a video master later on dvd. I don’t recall anyone addressing it in the earlier commentaries. The editing was rushed to have the film ready for screening at MIFED and may have been fine-tuned later. The longer version video master might have been struck for TV or archiving. Perhaps there is some discussion in the new edition. I did a rundown of the differences a while ago (including that offensively awful cabaret performer).

I don’t have the disc.

Re: “Play All”, i only include the play all timing if there is one, as in there is a player display of the combined timing rather than the playing one after the other and only displaying each individual video duration (in which case i only indicate the presence of “play all”).

It makes no sense to include a “play all” timing if it isn’t actually an option, as in just having the “trailers” button playing one after the other as individual videos or one combined video, or the only playback option is selecting one at a time from the menu.

Yes I agree with all of that.

However, in this case, I suspect there IS a Play All timing, although I don't (yet) own it either. Given the way it is written, it is similar to the part for:

Not Quite Hollywood Interviews (Play All - 39:24):

and writing it like this:

Trailers and TV Spots (Play All -

makes no sense, as it has an open bracket with no close bracket. Surely it should be one of the following:

Trailers and TV Spots:

Trailers and TV Spots (with Play All option):

Trailers and TV Spots (Play All - 5:38):
(or whatever the combined timing is)

I think it was Rick Curzon who submitted the Powerhouse entries, so hopefully he can shed light on the matter!

Got rid of the "Play All" for now.
