Alice in Wonderland (1951) UPDATED

Post by Owen_Alderson »

The contents that need to be corrected concern both the "R2 United Kingdom - Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment" and "R4 Australia - Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment - Remastered" listing. I own the UK DVD in question, so that's why I'm able to provide these corrections.

The R2 UK extras section is missing the Sneak Peeks that play upon disc startup which consist of "Timeless Classics," "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" and "The Hunchback of Notre Dame II"; all three of which can be accessed from the Sneak Peeks menu. I'm pretty sure the R4 Australian version does not actually contain a Sneak Peeks section or startup trailers in any capacity; so the info about the Sneak Peeks should only be added to the R2 UK listing.

For the R2 UK listing, two features are not named as such on the DVD. Scrapbook is actually named the "Alice in Wonderland Gallery" and Escape from Wonderland game is actually named the "Adventures in Wonderland Set-top Game".

The R4 Australian listing is missing the "Adventures in Wonderland Set-top Game" listing and the Photo gallery listing should be named "Alice in Wonderland Gallery."

The "All in the Golden Afternoon" sing-along can only be accessed if English was chosen on disc startup; a fact that is not mentioned on both listings at all.

And finally, both the Soundtrack(s) and Subtitles sections on the R2 UK listing are missing info: the soundtracks available on the DVD are English 5.1 Dolby Digital, Danish 5.1 Dolby Digital and Norwegian 5.1 Dolby Digital. There actually are optional subtitles offered, those being as follows: Bulgarian, Danish, Danish for the hearing-impaired, English, English for the hearing-impaired, Norwegian and Norwegian for the hearing-impaired.

The Danish and Norwegian HoH subtitles are for the full film and not just captions for signs and text like "Eat Me" on the candy?

Future reference, no need to write "TRT" and also please use m/s instead of h/m/s. runtime should be 72:03.

The Danish and Norwegian hearing-impaired subtitles are for the entire film. There's actually no subtitles just for text like the aforementioned "Eat Me" and "Drink Me," for instance.
