Penny Serenade (1941) UPDATED
Needs a footnote:
Penny Serenade is in the public domain and all currently listed DVDs are bargain bin cheapies with poor A/V and missing a pivotal five minute courtroom scene. Complete, good quality DVDs and BDs from restored original vault materials have been released in the US by Olive and Germany by Alive.
The Olives are vanilla, so specs shouldn't be too hard to find. Give me a week or so to dig it out and I'll add the German BD details, though this review is pretty comprehensive.

Re: Penny Serenade (1941)
You just beat me to it! Would you mind replacing the DVD footnote with this slightly amended version please?

The US BD has the same transfer as the German, but I can't find its exact runtime. I thought it worth including, as it's the only other legit BD.

Re: Penny Serenade (1941) UPDATED
Hi James, I see you've added a BD comparison, but the German specs are inaccurate. The film has no subs but the documentary does, and the trailer info is missing. It's all in my second post!

Re: Penny Serenade (1941)
I don't see a reason to change it from how it is, so no.Brent_Reid wrote:Would you mind replacing the DVD footnote with this slightly amended version please?
I'm going to make an assumption the documentary is in English. If not, please let us know.Brent_Reid wrote:- “Cary Grant: The Leading Man” documentary (59:38) (with optional German subs)
Bonus trailers updated, subtitles removed for the main feature.

Re: Penny Serenade (1941) UPDATED
Cheers for the updates, but re amending my footnote (see OP), as none of the listed DVDs have timings, I can't swear they're all incomplete, so on reflection decided to amend it. There's at least one ropey but full-length upload on the Internet Archive which looks to be PD DVD-derived, so there must be some out there.
