Between the R1 and the R2 Japan editions.
The R1 is the "Unrated" version, while the R2 Japan has an anamorphic transfer, English DTS soundtrack, and a few extras (please see the "cuts"-section).
General notes: "Unrated"-version includes longer sex scenes between Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger. -
CUTS:
- R1 The Special Uncut, Unrated Version America- Universal Pictures - No Cuts - "Unrated" version" (115:38 NTSC).
- R2 Benelux- Bridge Pictures - No Cuts - "R-rated theatrical version". The 2nd sex scene at the border hotel is shorter than the R1 (110:41 PAL).
- R2 Germany- Concorde - No Cuts - "R-rated theatrical version". The 2nd sex scene at the border hotel is shorter than the R1 (110:30 PAL).
- R2 Germany- Euro Video - No Cuts - "Unrated version" (110:07 PAL).
- R2 Italy- Cecchi Gori HV - Not known (review lists run time as 110 min PAL; BBFC lists uncut UK video run time as 110:38 PAL)
- R2 Collector's Edition Japan- Paramount Home Entertainment - No Cuts - "R-rated theatrical version". The 2nd sex scene at the border hotel is shorter than the R1. The rest of the time difference is due to the fact that the "Universal" and "Largo" logos at the beginning of the movie have been replaced by an "Intermedia" logo on the Japanese DVD (114:03 NTSC).
